Expert/M

It is possible to import the current and previous year's figures into Caseware. To do this, Caseware directly addresses Expert/M's database.

1. Requesting an SQL User

Please note that this is not a regular Expert/M user.

To establish the connection between Caseware and Expert/m, a SQL user is needed who has read rights on the databases of central file management (list of customers) and Expert/M (the financial data of customers).

You can request this user by sending a support ticket to Kluwer, below is a sample text.

Sample text:

“We wish to set up a connection between Caseware and the Kluwer software. This requires access to our SQL data. Can you create a SQL user + password that has read access to our Kluwer infrastructure? 

We need this in order to be able to read our file list as well as sync the data from the Expert/M files on the one hand. So this SQL user must have read rights on the databases of Central File Management and all databases of the Expert/M files themselves.”

Activating the link in WinAcc

The centralized import must be set once. For the individual import, you do not need to set anything.

1.In the dashboard, click on settings and go to office settings

2. Click on login as admin and log in with the password pragmaparam

3. Fill in the credentials you receive from Expert/M


3. Testing the link

You can now test the connection with Expert/M by navigating to Home - Expert/m in the Dashboard.

When the user is correctly created and entered, you can find your Expert/m files in the dropdown below.
