Approved Charter
How do I upload, view and manage approved versions of the Internal Audit Charter within the IA Governance app?
The CHARTER | Approved charters page provides a central location to view all approved versions of the Internal Audit Charter for the entity. The page does not store files directly but instead integrates with the Cloud File Management system. Any document uploaded to Cloud and tagged with “IA – Approved charter” is automatically displayed on this page, allowing users to easily access the approved charter documents associated with the Internal Audit Function.
ObjectiveThe objective of CHARTER | Approved charters is to provide a single reference point where users can access the approved versions of the Internal Audit Charter stored within the Cloud File Management system.
Page positionCHARTER | Approved charter can be found on the sidebar within the CHARTER module of the IA Governance app.
Approved charters are displayed in a table view, presenting the documents stored in the Cloud File Management system that are tagged as “IA – Approved charter”. The table displays file information and metadata that allows users to identify and manage the charter documents, and includes the following columns:
- File type – Icon showing the file type (e.g. PDF)
- Name – The name of the uploaded file
- Last modified / Created – Dates showing when the file was last updated or created
- Last modified by / Created by – Who last modified or created the file
- Created – Dates showing when the file was last updated or created
- Created by – Who last modified or created the file
- Workflow stage (colour, name, sequence, entered date) – Displays workflow information if used
- File size – The size of the file
- Description, Folder path, Folder – Additional file details
- Confidential, Tags – Security and classification options
- Retention details – Fields for retention period and related comments
The user can select which columns they want to see by clicking on the column chooser.
Adding an approved charter
To add a new approved charter, select the + button and then Approved charter.
A dialog will open with the following fields:
• Folder to upload to – Select an existing folder in the Cloud File Management system where the document will be stored.
• Files upload – Select the document(s) to upload or drag and drop files into the field.
Note: Select Save to upload the document. Once uploaded, the system automatically assigns the tag “IA – Approved charter”, which ensures that the document appears on the Approved charters page.
Viewing an approved charter
To view a charter document, click the View button in the table.
A new tab will open displaying the file details in the Cloud File Management system, from where the document can be opened and reviewed.
